“I think insider trading is a non-crime. Let’s say a bunch of people had traded in advance, then the price wouldn’t have been nearly as volatile. The price would already much more closely reflect what the market price would be after the news that became public,” said Ver.

Ver went on to state that he believes additional regulation of cryptocurrency exchanges are not necessary and believes investors should be cautious of any utilized service.

“At the end of the day, buyers beware of whatever service they’re using whether it’s a Bitcoin exchange, or whether it’s a coffeeshop… don’t depend on the government to keep you safe from everything out there in the world,” Ver stated.
