Daniel Mottice, Visa’s crypto product lead has announced a new web3 payment firm, Ansible Labs.
“Quick life update: after 5.5 years, I have decided to leave Visa to pursue my own venture in web3/crypto. Visa has been an incredible place to learn the ins and outs of digital payments and money movement,” Mottice wrote.
In his tweet thread, Mottice stated his time at Visa was spent improving the firms “global money movement engine [with] crypto and create more flexible network capabilities for crypto-native clients.”
According to Ansible Labs, the company will be the first of kind to “enable payouts to and from web3 blockchain accounts.”
Meanwile, Visa has intensified its efforts into the cryptocurrency sector as the company looks to advice traditional banking institutions and create its own stablecoin.
Visa’s head of crypto Cuy Sheffield took to Twitter to acknowledge Mottice for his contributions.
