Grimes Releasing ‘Children’s Metaverse Book’ in $100M Avalanche Initiative

Canadian musician Grimes is releasing an “intergalactic children’s metaverse book.”

Announced at the Avalanche Summit in Barcelona, Grimes stated the children’s book is part of a $100 million project from OP3N and the Avalanche Foundation to foster the advancement of blockchain projects related to art, entertainment, and culture on Avalanche.

The Sandbox’s Sebastien Borget and Axie Infinity co-founder Jeffrey Zirilin also backed the round, according to a press release.

“When I first got into Web 3, this was the kind of project I was hoping to see,” Grimes said in a statement.

“I’m very excited to be partnering with [OP3N] to launch a series of educational art for babies and small children with the goal of creating a profound experience for babies that is also deeply meaningful to adults.”

The “Culture Catalyst” project will include the Grimes book project.

According to their website, OP3N is a launchpad that supports all aspects of your NFTs.

In March 2021, Grimes sold approximately $6 million worth of NFTs and was featured in TikTok’s NFT Collection.
