The AGI-23 Conference is the longest running event series dedicated to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) research, and will take place from June 16 to 19, 2023, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The conference will present progressive innovations in the rapidly accelerating field of AGI. Top international researchers and practitioners will come together at AGI-23 to collaborate and share advances toward a future of general machine intelligence at the human level and beyond.
As AI’s promises and limitations become clear, researchers are increasingly focused on generality as the next step for AI to meet its potential. AGI-23 will highlight advanced systems that exhibit versatility and adaptability. Generality will foster the autonomous cars that will drive in our cities, dialogue systems that can answer our questions, and robots that can navigate our homes. These systems will learn quickly, generalise well, and never stop evolving.

“We are thrilled to welcome participants from around the globe to AGI-23,” said Dr. Ben Goertzel, Chairman of the AGI Society.
“The research community that has grown around the AGI Conference Series since we founded it in 2006 has an unparalleled understanding of Artificial General Intelligence in all its aspects and implications. The depth and variety of different approaches to AGI that one finds at the AGI conferences is unparalleled, and quite different from the main stream of the AI field which often seems to be obsessing on a small number of algorithms and methods. This year’s conference is dedicated to the late AGI pioneer Stan Franklin, whose cognitive architecture oriented approach to AGI has powerful lessons to hold as we work together to figure out the next steps toward building real thinking machines.”
The Artificial General Intelligence Society has organized annual conferences since 2008, serving as a platform for sharing groundbreaking AGI research and promoting progress. AGI-23 will be a forward-looking event that combines online and in-person participation, providing attendees with a setting for rich discussions on the latest theory and developments in artificial general intelligence (AGI).
This year’s conference is sponsored by Cisco, SingularityNET, TrueAGI, Digital Futures, and Springer. A free livestream of the entire 4 day conference will be sponsored by SingularityNET, and available to anyone curious to learn more about this critical emerging technology.
