The land acquired is in the area known as the Tahoe Reno Industrial (TRI) Center and is home to large tech companies, including Tesla and Google.
Gigafactory, who produces lithium batteries for Tesla, owns more than 2,800 acres of the park.
Information regarding the purchase and the company as a whole appears to be relatively scarce.
Real-estate agent, Lance Gilman, who sold the plot of land said he believes, “they envision a product that will showcase all of the capabilities of the blockchain technology.”
According to Gilman, the TRI Center only has 250 acres left for sale.
Last year, Google purchased 1,210 acres, and data center company, Switch, operates a 2,000 acre campus at the TRI Center.
BLOCKCHAINS, LLC was registered in Nevada in May 2017 by California attorney Jeffrey Berns, a partner at the law firm of Berns Weiss LLP.
