Johann Jungwirth, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Volkswagen, will join the Supervisory Board of the IOTA Foundation, a non-profit foundation utilizing blockchain technology for the Internet of Things (IoT).

“The IOTA platform allows connected devices to digitally send money to each other in form of micropayments, making it useful for the IoT,” said Jungwirth.
In December, Dr. Hongquan Jiang was added to the IOTA Foundation’s board.
As a “deep tech” investor Jiang has led multiple successful investments in the area of IoT, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and Automotive in the last 10 years in Europe, US and China.
Hongquan is well connected in the relevant industries worldwide, especially in the IoT space.
IOTA is trading at $2.43 at press time, down 3.37% today according to CoinMarketCap.com.
