Cybersecurity expert, John McAfee, has announced his twitter was hacked after his account began endorsing several ICO’s and cryptocurrencies.

“Urgent:  My account was hacked. Twitter has been notified. The coin of the day tweet was not me. As you all know… I am not doing a coin of the day anymore,” McAfee tweeted.

McAfee, most notably known as the creator of the McAfee antivirus software, has endorsed numerous cryptocurrencies in the last year and has amassed a Twitter following of over 520k, making him a large target for hackers globally.

McAfee still remains bullish on cryptocurrency and has just recently increased his prediction on bitcoin from $500k to $1 million by 2020.
