The Reborn 3 browser will allow users to interact with the blockchain-based decentralized applications (dApps).
Reborn 3 is now available on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
The Reborn 3’s built-in wallet syncs with Opera’s mobile Android browser to improve security.
“In practice, whenever they need to identify themselves to a Web 3 website or sign a transaction on the blockchain, users get a notification on their smartphone. They can confirm it in the same way they unlock their system, using, for example, facial recognition or their fingerprint.”
The company plans to add the built-in wallet to its iOS app, Opera Touch, soon.
The browser currently carries Ethereum’s ERC-20 standard, as well as, ERC-721, which is widely used for crypto collectibles, such as the popular dApp CryptoKitties.
Opera is working with cryptocurrency brokerage Safello to allow users to purchase ether (ETH) right from its browser-based wallet.
